About

Linda Luse is an interdisciplinary artist based in Linz, Austria. She holds a Master’s degree in Sculptural Conceptions and Ceramics from the University of Art and Design Linz.

Working across installation and sculpture, her practice examines seemingly mundane subjects such as labor, debt, economy, agriculture, and everyday life. Through research-driven installations and sculptural works, she explores the implicit roles these themes play within systems of globalization, historical colonization, and contemporary economics.

Engaging in a long-term investigation of ceramic minerals and their chemical combinations, she integrates everyday refuse with ancient ceramic techniques to create organic, fragile composite sculptures. Her distinctive glazes incorporate pesticide-contaminated waste from industrial agriculture, addressing issues of globalization, mass production, and ecology.

Her work has been presented at the Arno Lehmann Award (2025), European Ceramic Context (2024) in Denmark, the XVI Aveiro Ceramics Biennial in Portugal, the Latvian Ceramics Biennale, Kulturforum Belgrade in Serbia, Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz, and other venues. She has received several awards, including the Upper Austrian Talent Award for Fine Arts, the Soroptimist Female Artist Award, and the Energie AG Talent Award.

Her works are included in the collections of the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan, St. Virgil Salzburg, the Land Oberösterreich Collection, Nordico Stadtmuseum Linz, OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH, and Gmundner Keramik.
